\ Post Concrete
In each period of his work Fitzi coupled painting with an important production of graphics. In the post-concrete period he realized lithographs and engravings presenting them sometimes in form of portfolios. In the neo-antique phase Fitzi’s graphics-work consists primarily in Indian-ink and pencil drawings. They came into being in times where he was preparing canvases or when the light in winter was too bad to paint. They arose primarily as preliminary studies for the paintings he realized in this phase of his creation. So, new ideas would take on an initial shape that cross checked for its pictorial expressivity before approaching the painting itself that put the ideas in a definitive form.
